Watch out, Chinese karaoke bars!
Karaoke bars in China may soon be SLAMMED with UNJUST TAXATION!!!! If the proposals are accepted, each bar will be forced to pay 12 yuan ($1.50) per day in “royalties” to “artists.”
This is like the Intolerable Acts Part 2, this time instead of being levied by Great Britain on the colonies it will be levied by the Chinese National Copyright Administration on poor, hard-working owners of karaoke establishments.
In the end, it is the singers who will pay the costs. Call your reps today!!
